How we started...what our goals are
Living in the country we wanted some animals for the grandchildren to enjoy. We were introduced to the Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats and fell in love with them. They are small, don't eat a great deal, and are gentle and loveable. What was originally intended to be a couple of does became six by the time we came home with them. Then of course, we had to buy a buck. The following Spring we had more than doubled the size of our herd! We decided to upgrade the breeding stock so another doe was added. And so it goes. Now we are limiting ourselves as to how many of the kids we can keep. We place great value on milking abilities and look for those qualities in the does we add to our herd.
